Targets for Unit 8 over the next week
After going though my Unit 8 work and see what else I need to add into it I have come up with a set of targets that I plan to get done over the next week, these are:
Saturday – New software and skills and explain how to use and why we are using it.
Sunday – Standard ways of working.
Monday – Evidence of communication.
Tuesday – My roles and team members.
Wednesday – Show how give someone an ICT solution.
Thursday – Show our unexpected events and how I dealt with it.
Friday – Evidence of planning how to use ICT
If I manage to meet all these targets over this next week I would have a large bulk of my work done, and all that will be left if my evaluation of my project and myself though my project.
Unit 12 Targets
Today, we had a lesson looking at the progress we had made through unit 12, I discovered that i still have quite a bit of work left to do on the project itself and improve most of my own current work. From doing this i have looked at setting myself some targets to improve the current state of my work. For todays targets i am going to aim for are :
- Show how resized imported images.
- Create my choice of software for my client
- Create my standard ways of working document
I think if I can meet my targets for today I will be able to keep my work under control, and hopefully get my project back on track.
I am going to also set myself targets for the following days as well so I will also know what I have planned on doing. My targets for tomorrow are:
- Improve my current client brief and get it finished
My target was for Friday are to show my the features for the software I am going to use .
If I manage to complete all these targets i should be able to pull the project around and manage to get back on track for meeting my final deadline.
The Return
I have not blogged in a while due to not being able to access my blog on the move from my iPhone and problems with my laptop I have made a return.
Over the weeks that I have no been able to blog the team has been able to make an amazing move toward completing the project in time, first major key factor towards this is that we have managed to start producing draft designs in iWeb on the apple mac, we first had everyone over the holidays produce a hand drawn draft of the page we assigned each other for the DVD and for the brochure. After we returned back from the holidays we arranged to bring in all the drafts and then one of our team member brought in there own Apple Mac and we then started to produce the drafts.
Another thing we also have made process on is interview some of the members of the film club this is for the interactive DVD and this means we will have some to use in the brochure as just text interviews.
Overall we have started making good progress so far to the deadline of the project and we should have all the drafts complete for the DVD and for the brochure, this means that we only have to produce the DVD onto a disk and draw up and final copy of the brochure. This week am i setting my self the target of making sure i have my standard way of working fully completed and my skills log of the project up to date.
Apple Macs
Yesterday we went over to the school annex’s to uses the arts departments MacBooks this helped our team develop our skills for producing the DVDs
Over all I think the apple macs are seem a good option to produce our DVD for the project just there is a slight learning curve to use them.

A new week a new post
This week we have managed to get our interview questions to some of the flim club this making more progress just alittle slower then expected
We have also arranged a time when we are all free to use the Mac Books to publish our DVD drafts this is good news for our project as it means we have the correct software for the creation of our DVD.
I have been producing some our possibles of what gantt charts we could of used and I have also finished my standard ways of working aswell, I have also taken on another side project so I have to balance the two projects carefully and make sure I am making progress on both
Next week I need to finish of my document about the teams skills and roles and my own skills and roles within the team as this is a big part of the project.

This week…
Just a small update at the beginning of the week to start off,
Well this week we see Alistar Bardon our team leader and follow suit and deliver as a good team leader, Over the weekend I produced my standard ways of working so I am going to start producing my skill log about all my new acquired skills through out my project.

Quick Update Through The Week
Just a quick one during the week to keep to my targets I set myself, as far as the project is going we are still trying to find time to get and produce the basic draft of the DVD while myself and the team have been adding to their evidence of collaborating as a team using google documents and explaining how they have use it to help towards the project.
As for general progress on my blog i have managed to set up my twitter on the side off my iphone so i will be posting more daily updates about the project saying if i have meant my targets and setting targets for the next time. As for post i think i will be able to get an end of the week one to cover everything over the week and discuss what the plan is for next week.
Time For An Update
A bit of a late post as i missed posting over the weekend, and shall make up over this week by trying to update more than a couple of times over this week. I have finally decided that I am going to start using this blog more often and maybe make it in to a kinda hobbie of mine, I have been messing around with the widgets and managed to set up some basic html adverts in the side so as far as progress goes on the blog it going according to plan.
As for the project, I have been elected as team leader this week and we had our meeting to discuss what we had to try and get done this week, first point was about the DVD, we have managed to get hold of a set of mac books so that we can create the dvd.
Another thing we covered was trying to get video interviews sorted for some of the teachers and students including in the film club, the final point we covered was the we needed to produce our standard ways of working word document, and that just about covers what we talked about in the meeting today.
I guess I can say using these blogs are helping with the project because I can type you what I have done and produce in a lesson and then can come back to use it to evaluate my work this is the best use of ICT so far.
Another Day Blogging
We have made some progress in our project now and had another team meeting, we discussed what key dates we have and we have discussed what we are going to include in both the interactive DVD and the brochure.
During our team meeting we also elected our new team leader for the week as amber stepped down from the role and through the week has performed a greatly in the position.
Our team is now starting to make progress in our projects so we should start moving quickly throughout them, this week i aim to get in contact with some of the old film club members to get some history on them, some other targets for the project is to get video interviews with current film club members. Let hope we have another productive week.
Day 2 Of The Project
This is the second day of our project and we are making some good progress, today we had to produce a document about our client, this included who the client was, the requirements or the project, the audience and any contrainst we have. Overall i would say this has been a productive day again
